GRACE MEANS YOU AREN’T GUILTY
Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
- Romans 8:33
Here is something we know: We fail daily to love and live like Jesus.
Here is something we often forget: In Jesus we are not guilty of any failure because Jesus was condemned as guilty for us.
It is key for us to remember this because often Satan tries to discourage us by filing charges against us. In other words, when we fail Satan notices and he uses our failures to discourage, and disgrace us.
God wants us to live forgiven and free from guilt, shame and condemnation. So when you fail today, don’t let Satan discourage, belittle or shame you by filing charges against you. Instead, remember Paul’s words, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
“Because God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of Christ.”
You see the wages of our sin is death but Jesus died for us so that we can be declared by God as not guilty. So live today in the grace of a guilty free life. Don’t drink Satan’s poison of condemnation. Leave the past in the past, nailed to the cross with Jesus. And when Satan tries to resurrect the past by reminding you of what you have done. Remind your soul of what Jesus did at the cross for you.
Is there an area in your past that Satan likes to remind you of frequently to discourage you? How does living in the reality that in Jesus there is no guilt or shame change your life today?
